Welcome to PlateHawk. By using our service, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Service Description

PlateHawk is a web-based meal planning service that scans local grocery deals and builds personalized weekly meal plans around what's on sale at stores near you. The service includes meal plan generation, grocery list creation, deal discovery, coupon access, and related features.

2. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at info.platehawk@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Subscription and Billing

• Subscriptions renew automatically each month on your billing date.
• You will be charged via the payment method on file through Stripe.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain access until then.
• We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods, but if you experience a service disruption, contact us and we'll make it right.
• Prices may change with 30 days' advance notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance.

4. Free Trial

New accounts receive a 7-day free trial with full access to PlateHawk Pro features. No credit card is required to start. After the trial period, continued access requires a paid subscription. We may change or discontinue free trial offerings at any time.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, copy, or redistribute PlateHawk's deal data, meal plans, or recipes for commercial purposes.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or compromise PlateHawk's systems.
• Use automated tools to access PlateHawk at a volume that strains our infrastructure.
• Use PlateHawk for any unlawful purpose.

6. Content and Accuracy

PlateHawk aggregates grocery deal data from publicly available sources (store circulars, Flipp, retailer APIs). While we work to keep deal information accurate and current, we cannot guarantee that prices, availability, or deal terms will match what you find in-store. Always verify deals before your shopping trip.

Meal plans and recipes are AI-generated suggestions. Nutritional information, if provided, is estimated and should not be used as medical or dietary advice.

7. Intellectual Property

PlateHawk and its content (software, design, text, algorithms) are owned by PlateHawk and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-transferable license to use the service for personal, non-commercial meal planning purposes.

8. Disclaimers

PlateHawk is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that deal data will always be accurate. Your use of PlateHawk is at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PlateHawk's liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at info.platehawk@gmail.com.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Texas.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or notice in the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
